The Marriage Feast of the Lamb

Matthew 13:45-46 - "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it".

One cannot understand the significance of the Marriage Feast of the Lamb if they do not understand the infinite and inexorable value of Jesus' perception towards His church. Can you imagine loving someone so profoundly that you'd sacrifice any chance at a normal life just so you could spend eternity with the creation you so adored? If not, Jesus certainly can! He spent His life on earth in persecution and suffering; later being crucified to buy our souls with His spotless blood so that we may be with Him in paradise forever.

On Pentecost, I had an encounter with Jesus in a dream-like vision that I believe many people will find uplifting.

In this vision, I saw Jesus in a dwelling that appeared to date back to the first century, and He was tearing apart what initially appeared to be paper with His back turned towards me. After I asked Him what He was doing, He was momentarily silent before He told me He was assembling His army. His tone was both straightforward and matter-of-fact as He intently focused on the task at hand to the point I felt obligated to wait before I asked the next question.

I recited Luke 12:53 and asked if He was doing something similar; after all, tensions between individuals are particularly high these days. For the first time, He turned away from what He was doing and looked at me slightly puzzled before telling me that wasn't what He was doing. I then asked what the significance was behind tearing these pieces in two. He replied: "Cut from the same cloth, torn veil". As He motioned His index finger toward the fabric, He told me these weren't just pieces of cloth, they were invitations. Not just any invitations, but invitations we needed to give unto those who have accepted Him (Christ) as the Messiah.

I acknowledged that they represented the torn veil, thanked Him for both His sacrifice on the cross along with the direct access to the holy of holies we're allotted as a result, and then asked what event these invitations were being made for.

Revealing His palm with outstretched fingers as a partially comedic gesture, He said they're invitations for those who'd grasp them as He softly giggled. As I felt a righteous pressure to be a worker of righteousness descending upon me, I asked Him how I'd know ahead of time who'd grasp them.

He told me He'd be with me, and that upon the splitting of the veil at the atonement, everyone had the opportunity to hear Him for themselves.

Matthew 27:50-52 - And when Jesus cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.

It was the splitting of the veil that gave us ALL access to the high priest that was previously reserved only for those of stature. Who is THE high priest? Jesus! Not only that, but the first fruits from Abraham's bosom suddenly emerged out of their graves and came back to life!

Hebrews 10:16-17 - "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds' I will write them", then He adds, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more".

We don't just accept Christ as the answer to salvation, but after the crucifixion, we have the incredible blessing of being in Christ because we were resurrected WITH Him!

As He further glanced into my eyes, He imparted within me the knowledge that only those who were repulsed by the symbolism of the torn veil would fail to accept not only these invitations but also 2 Corinthians 3:3, too.

2 Corinthians 3:3 - clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.

He caught my glance just seconds longer as He concluded giving me wisdom. I finally understood what event these invitations were for: The Marriage Feast of the Lamb!

Revelation 19:8-9 - And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'" And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God".

I sensed what I thought was a phenomenon occurring right before my eyes: although each torn invitation was pure white, in the spirit, I had sensed that the other half of these invitations just belonged together. His countenance shined upon me as He read Galatians:

Galatians 2:20 - I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved and gave Himself for me.

As I dwindled into a state of captivated amazement, He continued to read:

Genesis 2:24 - Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

One flesh! One flesh as a result of being indwelt with the Holy Spirit upon His atonement as members of the inseparable body of Christ, one flesh as the bride that He's coming to take to heaven with Him, and one flesh akin to the tunic (undergarment) Jesus was wearing on the cross as the sole article of clothing that nobody snatched off of Him, cast lots for, and tore up. The body of Christ is a seamless tunic, how beautiful is that!

Understanding the instruction I received towards the end of my vision, I exuberantly took the invitations; running out of the first-century dwelling and continuing until my surroundings matched those in my neighborhood at present. Before exiting this vision entirely, I was filled with joy at my mission: I was to hand out invitations to the love-feast He so selflessly prepared for us as His returning bride. Even better, I was to invite those who gleefully accepted these invitations to take up the most honorable position imaginable: being a dedicated soldier in God's army.

Today God has a special invitation just for you: He's asking you to believe in Him as your savior, therefore agreeing to attend the Marriage Super of the Lamb. Can you say "Yes, Jesus, I come into agreement. Please fill me with the fresh anointing of your Holy Spirit as my Lord and Savior"? Perfect! Now just say "Jesus, I want to be part of your army and be a worker of righteousness. Use me in the ways only You know how to through your perfect strength, Lord".

You just RSVP-ed "yes"! That's it! That's all you had to do! I can't wait to see all of your beautiful faces there!
